Philosophy

The ultimate goal is to help patients find improvement in comfort and function as quickly as possible, and then to help them stay that way. Needing to get adjusted all the time to feel well is not our version of quality care. We aim to provide lasting whole-body work, teach people how to take the best care of themselves, and then be here to help maintain the balance. The more you are invested in your own care outside of the office, the less you are likely to find yourself needing treatments.

We believe that Chiropractic Care and Craniosacral Therapy can work wonders to get you back on track when feeling out of whack, usually due to a myriad of lifestyle strains and stresses. And for wee ones, it can really get them off on the right track and allow a physical and emotional unwinding from their birthing adventures.

Every single treatment here looks different from the next because each body has a unique need, and each person has their own goals and preferences. We are passionate about catering care to each comfort level, which for some means that there is no “cracking” at all, and for others there may be lots. We also are quick to make referrals to other impressive providers when we believe our care would be best complimented or replaced by another modality.

For anyone out there who has been nervous about Chiropractic, please know that every doctor practices in a totally different way, and our utmost commitment here is to your comfort and education toward lifelong wellness.

emily-231x300

Dr. Emily Watters has a lifelong passion for learning, having graduated cum laude with departmental honors from the University of Oregon with Bachelors of Science in Psychology and General Science, and minors in Biology and Chemistry. She then continued her education at the University of Western States, graduating summa cum laude as a chiropractic physician.

With clinical interests focusing on pediatric, pregnancy, and postpartum care, Dr. Emily has been an active steward to these populations, serving at the academic, clinical and legislative levels. She is certified in Webster Technique to help optimize pelvic alignment during pregnancy and is trained in Craniosacral Therapy. She was elected and is currently serving on the executive committee for the American Chiropractic Association’s Pediatrics Council.

Dr. Emily’s inspiration for entering into chiropractic was based on the help she received from a chiropractor during her most physically and mentally formative years.  As a new mother, she also has a personal understanding of the importance physical medicine can play in helping nurture the mother-child dyad.  It is from these experiences that she has devoted her future chiropractic practice toward helping aid in the optimal health and development of pediatric and perinatal patients.

In her free time Dr. Emily loves to travel abroad, sing and spend time in the outdoors with her husband, Sean and son, Oliver.
